During the period April 2009 to July 2009 Mr Kenneth Murphy (K & W Services) designed and installed the main first fix of all plumbing requirements for my downstairs flat in accordance with current Water Regulations. The main plumbing work also involved the installation of: the hot water cylinder, the main supply cold water cistern + the associated overflow piping, WC, basin, bath, shower and two outside taps.
Mr Murphy’s standard of workmanship was thorough and professional throughout the refurbishment project and I can thoroughly recommend him for his standards of professionalism to anyone who is considering hiring his services in the future.

During the period July 2009 to May 2010 Mr Kenneth Murphy (in close co-operation with Durham County Council planning department) designed, and installed all of the electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation facilities required for Barrington Bunkhouse – a new business venture mainly for C2C cyclists. His work also involved close co-ordination with NEDL contractors to install a new electrical mains supply cable required for the building, and close liaison with ITS contractors to fit and test the fire alarm system installed.The plumbing work involved building a very large wet room to fully comply with Part M of the building regulations, (with distress alarm system installed) an additional bathroom with sink/WC, an additional shower room, fitting new drainage lines via macerators and whale pump and fully fitting out a kitchenette. Each of the bathrooms and showers were fitted with suitable fan extractor/ventilation trunk systems. The wet central heating arrangements involved the removal and relocating of several radiators and pressure/return piping to the existing solid fuel boiler, and rebalancing the system once refilled.
The electrical work mainly involved the fitting of the two electric showers, a new ring main for the newly sited sockets, all of the lighting requirements of the various building compartments, (including the fitting of 6 emergency lights) the 3 sanitation ventilation fan systems, (plus 3 bunkhouse/kitchenette window extractor fans) outside lighting, and the fitting of 2 macerators and 1 whale pump systems for waste water drainage.
