Ken has done work for us on a couple of occasions. He turns up when he says he will, does the work at the price quoted. Tests everything thoroughly before leaving. All in all, he has been a great man to find. We wouldn’t use anybody else.
Even on holiday Ken will help out ! ! We were having a big family gathering and our immersion heater went off, Ken was able to fix it with the tools he carried in his van. He saved the day for us. A Big Thank You. August 2017
Ken has done quite a bit of work for me both electrical and plumbing and I have found that he is always reliable, courteous and tidy. His work is always spot-on too.
Ken was recommended to me by my neighbour. The first time I called him I had a leaking toilet which he dealt with quickly, even though it was a Saturday. Since then he has carried out a mixture of electrical and handyman jobs for me. He has proved himself to be efficient, neat, reliable and thorough. I have no hesitation in recommending his services to others.
Ken has just completed a quite complex extension to the electrical work over two floors in my home, including light fittings (now Blackpool illuminations in my kitchen – a transformation from the single bulb!) and a range of sockets, all of which I hoped might be possible whilst anticipating some may not be feasible or cost effective.
I am delighted with the result – all requests (and additional requests) achieved effectively, efficiently and thoroughly. Ken demonstrated great patience and determination – even when locked out in error one day! Nothing was too much trouble, he had a solution to every problem and the result has brightened my home more than I thought was possible.
I would certainly invite Ken again to carry out work for me and do not hesitate in recommending his services.

Ken has completed some major work on our bunkhouse in really difficult circumstances, the snow has been unrelenting but he still managed to get the job done. He used his own initiative to save us money and built two shower rooms without knocking any walls down.

We saw Ken’s ad in the local paper and contacted him to sort out some of the plumbing problems in our 200 year old house. He was very thorough and did a wonderful job of finding the best solutions. Pleased with his work, we subsequently employed him to do all the electrical work when we installed a new kitchen, and at the same time check and tidy up all our existing electrics for safety, as well as carry out the safety check in our holiday cottage. Again, he was extremely thorough, found the best solutions, and was responsive to our needs. Having had difficulty in the past finding reliable plumbers and electricians, we would highly recommend him.
We have used Ken for electrical work from simple house wiring to complicated three phase work, and have been very pleased with his interest and ability. The work is well done, and to a very fair price. We shall use him again.
Ken has recently done a fabulous job modernising our bathroon ,its a small space and I wanted a shower cubicle etc and none of the present tiles removed ,he has managed somehow to achieve ,a very modern bathroom ,with a fab.tiled floor and is now tiling our porch ,I have no hesitation recommending him
Thank you Ken for coming out so quickly,as I had a very leaky tap and radiator valve, due to our boiler pressure of which Ken very quickly diagnosed and repaired. Much appreciated ,would highly recommend .
Our water pump broke recently-DIASATER! Ken managed to arrange a temporary solution so we had water in the house whilst he sourced a replacement part(the pump is old!).This avoided the huge expense of a new pump.Yet again Ken was methodical,thorough and excellent value. Many thanks.
We recently employed Ken to install power to an outbuilding. He turned up on time, his work was neat and tidy and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended.
Ken’s done quite a lot of work for us. He’s both practical & thorough & works through problems until they are sorted. He recently fitted a water filter that he sourced & recommended. It is working brilliantly and is easy to maintain. Above all Ken is friendly & relaible…he turns up exactly when he says he will & gets the job done.
Ken came to do some electrical work on our house. Found ken to be very pleasant and thorough. He had great knowledge on his subject and I will always have him back. I had some inside and outside electrical work done. This included lighting, plug sockets and outside cables. He was very tidy and the finished job was very neat. Would recommend highly.
Ken Murphy has done several jobs of work for us ,recently,comprising,light replacment and plumbing work ,also at our home,fuse box and security light replacement,also placed extra sockets in our bedrooms,and replaced light fittings,we have no hesitation in recommending his work ,he is very friendly and thorough in his work,we will be using him again
